How to Reset Your Password
  1. Go to the Login Page.
  2. Click "Forgot Password?".
  3. Enter your registered Email Address.
  4. Check your inbox (and Spam folder) for the reset link.
  5. Click the link and choose a new secure password.

Note: If you signed up via Google or Twitter, you must reset your password on those platforms directly.

I didn't receive the reset email

This is common. Please checks:

  • Spam / Junk folder.
  • "Promotions" tab in Gmail.
  • Did you misspell your email during signup? (e.g. gmial.com)

If you still can't find it, contact support@stripchat.com.

Common Login Error Codes

Error Code Meaning Solution
403 Forbidden IP Ban or Geo-block Turn off VPN. If that fails, your IP is blacklisted.
401 Unauthorized Wrong Password Reset password immediately.
Auth_Fail_2FA 2FA Code Invalid Sync your authenticator app time settings.
Suspicious_Activity Bot Detection Contact support to verify ID.

Account Bans & Suspensions

Why was I banned?

Common reasons include:

  • Chargebacks: Disputing a payment with your bank (Instant Perma-Ban).
  • Underage: Failing age verification.
  • Harassment: Abusing models or other users in chat.
  • Recording: Attempting to screen record private shows (Detected by DRM).
How to Appeal a Ban
  1. Send an email to support@stripchat.com.
  2. Subject Line: "Ban Appeal - [Your Username]".
  3. Include your ID photo holding a piece of paper with today's date.
  4. Be polite. Aggressive emails are ignored.

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

We strongly recommend using 2FA to protect your tokens.

How to Enable 2FA

Go to Settings > Security > Enable 2FA. Scan the QR code with Google Authenticator or Authy.

I lost my phone / Authenticator codes

If you didn't save your backup codes, you must contact support. You will need to provide:

  • Last 4 digits of credit card used.
  • Amount of last token purchase.
  • Government ID.

Deleting Your Account

WARNING: Deletion is permanent. You will lose all unused tokens, favorites, and chat history.
Steps to Delete
  1. Log in on a desktop computer.
  2. Go to Profile > Settings > Privacy.
  3. Scroll to bottom: "Delete Account".
  4. Enter your password to confirm.

Help for Models / Broadcasters

My stream won't start (OBS Error)

Regenerate your Stream Key in the Broadcast Dashboard. Ensure your bitrate is under 6000 kbps.

Payout Issues

Payouts are processed weekly. If your Paxum/Cosmo payment is delayed, check your email for compliance requests.

Regional Access Issues

Some countries block adult sites. Here is the status.

  • USA (Virginia/Utah/Texas): Age Verification is legally required. You must upload ID to login.
  • UK: ISPs strictly block adult content by default. Contact your ISP to remove the filter.
  • Indonesia / UAE / Saudi Arabia: Completely blocked. You must use a VPN.
  • China: Blocked by Great Firewall.
  • South Korea: Blocked (Warning Page).

Security Glossary

SSL Encryption: Reviewing the lock icon in your browser URL bar ensures you are on the real site.
Phishing: Watch out for fake emails claiming to be support. We never ask for your password via email.
Session Timeout: For your security, we log you out after 24 hours of inactivity.
Incognito Mode: Recommended for privacy, but does not hide your IP address from the server.
VPN: Virtual Private Network. Can be used to bypass ISP blocks but may trigger fraud alerts during payment.

Verification FAQ

Q: Why do I need to verify my age?
A: Laws in many jurisdictions (EU, UK, US states) require platforms to verify the age of visitors to prevent minors from accessing adult content.

Q: Is my ID safe?
A: Yes. Verification is handled by third-party processors (Yoti, Veriff) and your ID is deleted after verification. It is not stored on Stripchat servers.

Q: Can I use a fake ID?
A: No. The system detects Photoshop and fake IDs instantly. Using one will get your IP permanently banned.

Payment FAQ

Q: What appears on my bank statement?
A: Charges appear discreetly as "EPOCH", "VTS", "SEGPAY", or "MULTIMEDIA". It will NEVER say "Stripchat".

Q: Can I get a refund?
A: Refunds are granted only for technical errors (e.g., double charge). If you viewed the show, you cannot get a refund.
